TP-Link's Omada ER7206 is a fanless multi-WAN gateway built for offices that can't afford a single point of failure on their uplink. Six Gigabit ports (1 dedicated WAN, 1 WAN/LAN SFP, and 4 more that can each be provisioned as WAN or LAN) let you load-balance across fibre, wireless broadband, and a 4G/LTE dongle on the USB 3.0 port, so a fibre outage drops to backup instead of taking the office offline.
Hardware-accelerated encryption pushes IPsec VPN throughput to 885 Mbps and NAT throughput to 945 Mbps with 150,000 concurrent sessions, enough headroom for a full floor of VoIP handsets, POS terminals, and CCTV backhaul running at once. Beyond IPsec it speaks WireGuard, OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, GRE, and SSL VPN, plus IDS/IPS, DPI, and content filtering for sites that need real perimeter security rather than a basic NAT firewall.
Joins the Omada SDN controller (hardware, software, or cloud) for centralised management alongside EAP access points and switches, or runs standalone for a straightforward single-site install. SD-WAN support means a client with multiple branches can have every site's gateway managed from one dashboard. Fanless, desktop- or rack-mountable, and rated for 0-40C operation, so it holds up in an unconditioned server cupboard as well as it does in a rack.
