The SIP-T31 is Yealink's entry-level desk phone, but "entry-level" here means it still gets a proper 132x64 backlit greyscale display, HD voice on both the handset and speakerphone, and PoE — not a stripped-down phone that feels like a downgrade from what's already on the desk next to it. Two SIP accounts cover a shared line plus a direct extension, and local 5-way conferencing handles a quick huddle without routing the call through a PBX conference bridge.
Two 10/100M Ethernet ports let it sit between the wall jack and a PC, so a desk with one Ethernet drop still gets both the phone and the computer online — genuinely useful in older offices that weren't wired with a data port per device. Six feature keys and five navigation keys keep frequent actions (transfer, hold, redial) one press away instead of buried in a menu, and the local phonebook holds up to 1,000 entries for offices that keep their own directory rather than pulling it from a PBX.
Supports Yealink's device management platform (YDMP/YMCS) for provisioning phones fleet-wide, so an office rolling out ten or fifty of these doesn't configure each one by hand. What we default to for any desk that needs a real phone but doesn't need a colour screen or BLF keys — reception, a shared line, or a manager's second phone.
