The G4 Instant is the camera we reach for when a client wants coverage on a wall that was never wired for it — no PoE run, no NVR drop, it pairs to a UniFi Protect controller over Wi-Fi and runs on its own rechargeable battery. 2K resolution at 30fps from a 5MP sensor with a 102.4° field of view covers a doorway or small yard corner clearly enough to make out faces and plates, not just movement.
Built-in IR gives 6m of night vision, and the IPX5-rated weatherproof housing means it mounts outdoors on a porch or gate post as readily as it does indoors — the included wall mount and ball-joint housing let it angle to the exact spot that matters without needing to remount the whole bracket. Two-way audio through the built-in speaker and mic means it doubles as an intercom at a gate or back door, not just a passive recorder.
