The DS-2CD2347G2-LU is Hikvision's ColorVu turret: instead of switching to black-and-white infrared once light drops, built-in dual spotlights (rated to around 30m) keep the 4MP sensor shooting in full colour after dark, so a face or number plate on footage actually has a colour to describe rather than a grey silhouette. The 2.8mm fixed lens gives a wide 112-degree field of view, well suited to a shopfront, gate, or driveway where you want the full width of the frame covered from one mount.
130dB WDR keeps detail in both the bright and shadowed parts of a scene at once — the usual failure mode for cameras facing a doorway with sky or headlights behind the subject — and on-board deep-learning classification tells a human apart from a vehicle, so motion alerts aren't triggered by every passing cat or moving branch. A microSD slot (up to 256GB) gives it independent local recording even if the NVR or network link goes down, and the built-in mic captures audio alongside video.
IP67-rated and built into a turret housing rather than a dome, so it resists casual tampering better and doesn't need a separate weatherproof enclosure.
